Shop / duromax generator cover
Founded in New Hampshire, GenTent is a small business that prioritizes its customers in terms of product quality, safety, and service. Addressing the lack of affordable and viable solutions for safely operating a generator in wet weather, GenTent was created to allow users to run their power source outdoors, mitigating the risks of carbon monoxide poisoning.
GenTent's unique, patented design has been independently lab tested and proven effective in severe storm conditions. Engineered to keep generators safe for use and protected from damage in rain and extreme weather, the product features a flame-retardant canopy made of 100% waterproof, dual-coated marine vinyl with welded seams.
Rigorously tested, GenTent is rated for up to 70 mph winds, 12 inches of rain per hour (hurricane-level precipitation), and an 18-inch snow load (55 lbs.). This ensures that users can confidently run their portable or inverter generators outside, even in the midst of rain, snow, or storms, without risking harm to their family or investments.
The self-attaching clamp system allows for easy installation, requiring no tools. The dual cast fiberglass rods mount to the clamp, which adjusts to fit a wide range of portable generator sizes. The waterproof canopy then covers the frame, creating comprehensive protection while maintaining the generator's cooling profile.
GenTent offers three product lines to accommodate different generator types and sizes:
The Generator Universal Kit is designed for open-frame generators, from small to large sizes, with round or squared vertical frame posts.
The Generator Inverter Kit is tailored for fully encased inverter generators of all sizes, from 1000W to 9500W, also with round or squared vertical frame posts.
The Generator XL Kit is engineered for larger portable generators, typically over 100 inches in perimeter and 10kW in power output, with the capability to adapt to blocked frame posts from muffler heat shields or lower electrical panels.
Regardless of the generator type, users can easily refuel their equipment while the GenTent is mounted, simply by lifting the weather-tight refuel door and re-securing it when finished.
The driving force behind GenTent is the mission to keep families safe when they need protection and emergency backup power the most. By providing an engineered solution that allows generators to be used safely in rain, snow, and severe weather, GenTent aims to give its customers the confidence to power their homes and businesses without worrying about the harmful effects of the elements.
